Thanks Tom! Was just re-looking at pics of your SJ last night! Superb!!

I am a bit of a purple nut, so much of this guitar, for me, has to do with the purpleheart bindings and their ability to pull the purple from the Indonesian rosewood.

So I really love this picture:

Hey, I like that ^ shot! Of course, any guitar taken to this stage is pretty rewarding!

The Dennis Excitement subsiding (did we LOVE that, or what?!), I have more pics here!

The nylon spacer set...

Painstakingly inserting the marquetry...

Until we [they gotta love hearing me use the royal 'we'!!] have it all 'round the top...

Smile Lovely!!!

Nice going gentlemen! What a cutie. And I, too love the burst on the prototype.
Not a big fan of sunbursts but that one takes the cake.

So does the one on Dennis' new beauty. You guys obviously have it NAILED!

I am sure this one will sing at least as beautiful as it looks, and that is mighty fine indeed!

Way to go...

Cheers

Paul

Thanks Bob, hopefully it harkens back successfully to the past, yet has a modern look about it.

Love the marquetry! Really adds to the vibe.

And BTW, the Dennis excitement is still alive and well in MD.

Normally, what happens in Nazareth, PA, does not STAY in Nazareth, but in this case...

Let's just say there was something involving a '00' that both brought us together and trekked-us to America's Mecca. But that remains a relatively closely guarded secret.

Should there be a Kinnaird Guitars hat or shirt for anyone besides Ryan who can guess? Or should we let sleeping dogs.......

Anyway, this instrument, modestly sneaking in after Dennis' extravaganza, will be a very, very special instrument to me!

My job at this juncture is to pick out tuners and inlays for fret board and peghead.

Going with Gotoh gold with ivoroid buttons...

And a classic but modest Martin '42' snowflake for the fretboard...like...

And going for gold mother-of-pearl for the inlays and a classic Kinnaird 'K' also in gold MOP on the peghead.

Nice choices Bob! I really like those Gotohs. And the 42 style inlays are classic.

+1 on the Gotoh's as well. That's shaping up to be some guitar!

As a Purdue University guy, any chance I can to incorporate 'old gold and black' we go with it!
