Default NGD! Martin D Mahogany 09

NGD! Just received a very lightly used Martin D Mahogany 09! This thing is amazing! Some nice bearclaw (hard to see in pics). Amazing warm tone and LOUD! All the low end you expect from a high level Martin but also very balanced highs. Had my eye on a 2012 D-18 but found this beauty on UMGF for an amazing price (thanks Scott!) and had to pick it up. Best part is that my wonderful wife knew Fedex was delivering it so when she had to go take our son to get his haircut she had her Mom come over and stand guard at the house just in case they showed up!
Amazing guitar with European Spruce top and scalloped forward shifted Euro Spruce bracing and solid Hog back and sides. An amazing addition to my HD-28. Check it out! (First post, hopefully I upload the pics right!)

Nice guitar, you are so lucky to have 2 Martins and I'll bet you're really happy, as you should be. Enjoy.

Keith, you win! Dude, that is such a great combo.... I have a D-28 marquis and D-18GE and they pretty much cover the same ground. I just love the differences and love to play one, then the other. Glad to know I have company.

Congrats on a great guitar!!! I've heard nothing but good things about those D Mahogany Martins. I've even seen guys on the UMGF say they are as good as a D-18 Authentic.

Stunning guitar; great score. I had an Alpine top on my M-21. I think it did made it a very resonant guitar. Enjoy it!

I have had a '11 model for a year and a half now, and it is a stunning guitar. Very balanced for a dread yet very bass-y. Martin sure is on a rolll with their vintage spec instruments!

Congrats!

Default D Mahogany

Congrats!

I used to own that guitar by the way. I sold it to Scott. So I can tell you that you have an amazing instrument on your hands!

Default Headstock

I polished out the headstock on the guitar too. I thought that it made it look a bit better.

Have fun and play it in good heath,

Reg

Gouchi, you were 100% right. Looks awesome. Good job. I actually can't believe you sold it and even more I can't believe Scott did! But I am glad. I def can't believe more people don't talk about this model from Martin what a beauty!
