Default Unknown acoustic pickup

I have a Gibson 12 string guitar that my Uncle left me when he passed away. It had a pickup in it that I have never seen, or been able to find.
I am wondering if anyone has seen anything like this. Unfortunately I don't have a pic. All I could do is try to draw something similar.
It was held in place by one screw that went through the bridge and soundboard. Had a short post and larger round piece that was the actual pickup. It was about 1 to 1 1/4 of an inch in diameter. About 1 inch thick. Don't remember where the wires came out at.
Any info would be very much appreciated.

Could be some sort of old Barcus Berry pickup. I'm not an expert, but here's a modern one.

Wanted to give a bit more information about this pickup. The stem coming down from the bridge appeared to be 1/4 in diameter metal, the pickup itself was also metal about 1 1/4 inch in diameter and 1 inch tall. The stem came out of the top of it. Had no markings.
