Fender 4th Generation Noiseless Pickups
Does anyone have any feedback regarding the new Fender 4th generation noiseless pickups? I think I remember reading that they are a new design? Thanks!

i'd like to hear them also, but, i've never been impressed with any of the previous versions. i figure they have to get it right sooner or later. my opinion.

Jimi was able to live with the hum - so can I...

I read a review (forget where) recently saying they sound more strat-like than previous noiseless pickups. Makes me want to try one out too.

I played a new American Elite Thinline Telecaster with the 4th gen pickups. I really liked the guitar a lot. The pickups are but one aspect of the whole package. It has the S1 switch. Not sure how much that contributes. The guitar was finished and set up really nice. The tone controls seemed responsive.

I have Fender Custom Shop 54's and a Seymour Duncan in the middle position on my Stratocaster and if there is any hum then I either live with it or switch over to the out of phase pickup positions where there seems to be virtually no hum.
