Not 100% sure but I think it is the custom Jim Merrill built for him.

FANTASTIC!!!!! although I'm not that impressed with the bass tone of that guitar........it sounds a bit dull to me................

Hard to get good bass response capo'd at the second on any guitar. Another amazing player, makes me feel like a kindergartner.

Hmmm, can't disagree that he's a great picker. But, if I hadn't known beforehand that it was Red Haired Boy, I"m not sure I would have guessed correctly.

I liked the bass--sounds dry to my ear--the kind that usually takes 60-70 years to get.

I still hear that well worn melody front and center in his arrangement. There's definitely a lot of harmonic activity, though. Really though, we all know these old standards and it's great to see David using them as launching pads for his own creativity. Just like the jazz greats...

I like that dry bass sound too, even though that's not what I'm normally drawn too when picking out a guitar. Hmmm.....
