Which of these would you recommend for the HD-28?

Trance Amulet M-VT for an active installation and the Dazzo #70 Set for sure or Dazzo #80 Set for a passive installation with an outboard preamp.

For the Dazzo, why do I recommend the Dazzo #70 Set for sure? I feel that it sounds good in my Larrivee D-40M and it should sound good too in a Martin Reimagined HD-28. Being that I like to start my amplified signal with a bit more bass than needed and then subtract to tonal taste or venue needs with a little EQ I could see installing a Dazzo #80 Set in an HD-28. Most won't recommend installing the Dazzo #80 Set but I wouldn't hesitate to do so in a Martin HD-28.

I have quite a collection from 50 years of gigging. Some are built in such as the Element and K&K systems. But some are removable like mics and sound hole pickups such as the fantastic M80.
I rarely sell these since resale is so low and postage so high. They sit patiently in a box in my sound room. How about you?
Ovation pickups with my Folklore and Legend
ES2 with my 317e and 322ce 12-fret
LR Baggs Anthem SL with my 414ce

Man, I have tons of pickups. Many I have given away to a Luthier friend.
  • A few USTS. (Sonitone, Baggs Element, Schertler, etc)
  • Several SBTs (Schatten HFN, K&K, PUTW #27, i-Beam, etc).
  • Several mags (Rare Earth, Baggs M1 & M80, Taylor's GS mini mag, etc).
  • Internal microphones ( All sorts of these. never found one that lived up to it's billing. Always feedback prone and boxy sounding).
