Any recommendations on a reputable dealer in the states to buy a Emerald X20-OS from?

Michael Stone at MacNichol is great to work with. It's where I order my guitars from. If anything isn't right, he will make it right.

MacNichol It is where I bought my Shorty. I left a nice review on the MacNichol forum which I might as well bring over here too.

First, and most importantly, I have seen different info regarding a truss rod and the X20-OS. With respect to the guitar I tried out, the merchant told me it had a hollow neck and no truss rod, but the description on the website says "2-way". There was an X20-OS bubinga for sale in the classifieds a short time ago (beautiful guitar), and the seller stated that the "X20-OS has no truss rod."
I figure you know what your guitars have in them. So, I guess I am asking if there are "no truss rod" options on X20-OS (not that I'm interested) and if that might explain the discrepancies I am seeing in descriptions. And a related question is where is the adjustment?
Finally, and far less important, after trying out the X20-OS, I am wondering what strings it ships with.
Thanks again.

And thanks to all for the postings concerning info on pickup systems.
The X20-OS originally had a hollow neck which worked great and was very stable but some people really wanted the ability to adjust the action to compensate for different strings and playing style. For this reason we started adding a truss rod as standard in the spring of 2013. We don't offer a hollow neck as an option any more.
The adjustment is made in the little recess on the headstock.
Currently we ship the X20-OS with D'addario EXP11

We can certainly build something like that. Just drop me an email at [email protected] and we can discuss the details.

Alistair, will do - even if it's just a preliminary discussion to determine how many organs I'd need to sell to pull it off.

So you play Organ as well, LOL.
I would take a nice Hammond as a trade in

Unfortunately these organs only make squishy noises...

I had a hell of a time getting the strings balanced on my X5 Life. I gave up and took it to a great luthier who also had a hell of a time. He finally tried a technique where he put some kind of thin tape on the bottom of the saddle and that did the trick. After that the balance was spot on and the guitar sounded the same (not my favorite) acoustically after.
