Default IMO this is sick!

Business is business, but really this seems to be an insult to the memory of a legend Could backfire on Gibson me thinks.

Bong.

Insulting to be sure. It's too bad that Mr. Hendrix's name is being used in such a shoddy manner. His music speaks for itself, to use his name to merely profit from it should be beneath the dignity of everyone involved. But as we say in the US, "Money talks, b***s*** walks".

Pretty sad, isn't it. As someone on another forum I frequent pointed out, Gibson went after PRS (unsuccessfully) for copyright infringement over the Singlecut. Now they produce this plagiarism, knowing full well that Fender has no comeback.

In the words of one of my favourite philosophers:

Eeyore, the old grey Donkey, stood by the side of the stream, and looked at himself in the water.
"Pathetic," he said. "That's what it is. Pathetic."
He turned and walked slowly down the stream for twenty yards, splashed across it, and walked slowly back on the other side. Then he looked at himself in the water again.
"As I thought," he said. "No better from this side. But nobody minds. Nobody cares. Pathetic, that's what it is."

The world clearly doesn't need another Strat copy, and this clearly not fitting with Gibson's heritage. But IMO it's not criminal behavior... how many Les Paul copies are being sold out there? Lame- yes.
