Default Lágrima - Francisco Tárrega

It's now been 3 years since I started studying classical guitar... I never imagined being able to play this piece...

This is quite an accomplishment, one that I admire. Beautifully played.

I love that song.

I played it once for a friend in Panamá and he said “Teardrops” (in English). I knew that’s what the word meant, but I’d never heard anybody refer to the song in English that way. It made the connection clearer for me.

Nice work. Much smoother than your past videos. Good tone too.

Stop staring at your fretting hand.

Thank you for your words. I recognize that this piece still needs a lot of work but I think it's a starting point.

I'm glad you liked it. This is one of my favorite pieces. I think I can still do better, it will be a matter of practice and getting more and more comfortable with this piece.
I'll try to relax more and not look at my left hand so much!!!

It's a favourite of mine as well, and I thought you played with accuracy, good tone and articulation. As you say familiarity will help you relax and smooth it out. Well done.

Samoiedo, LaGrima is one of those tunes that you can keep coming back to and discovering more every time. Segovia occasionally used it as an encore peice. Such a beautiful and simple melody line but surprisingly difficult to do well. Overall, , if you’re interested in feedback from random internet people, I’ll say good job. But you may want to think more about accentuating the melody line and keeping the open b a bit more subtle in the first section. It can tend to sound a bit like a door bell, ding dong, ding dong.
Thank you for posting the video, I really enjoyed it.

I'm glad you liked it. Even knowing how much I can and should evolve in the execution of this piece, I think it is a good starting point. However, one of the things I like most are comments like yours, constructive, pointing out possible improvements. I deeply appreciate your comment and I will try to correct these situations.

Brad Werner does a nice rendition of it. A good one to play along with. (This is how I learn most tunes, by playing along while reading the notation/tab)

You've inspired me to learn this btw, thanks

If I can get my chubby fingers to nail the 11th and 12th fret section it'll be good to go,

Very well done. Congrats. Work on releasing tension. I find myself doing that too and it's incredible what you can see when you film yourself like that. Playing in a mirror helps too.

I completely agree with you. My videos are a great way to better identify my mistakes.
I hope you enjoy following my evolution...
