Default Guild Mark VII

I just picked this up. Thought I would share. These are supposed to rival the 1A, which I have also owned, and I think it’s actually better.

I'm not a classical player but I am pretty familiar with the Guild lineup over the years, and while their classicals (other than the Mark I) aren't too common as a whole, the Mark VII is a rare bird by any reckoning - TMK they probably didn't make more than a couple dozen overall - and FWIW that's some of the nicest Brazilian I've seen on any Guild...

Use it well and often...

Wow. Hearty congrats!
That's a rare bird. They were all custom made by Carlo Greco, and only about 10 to at most 20 were made. From 1968 to 1973 or so. Looks like the original case too.
I recall all this from the UMGF, and posts by Hans Moust from the Netherlands, who was/is an authority on these models.
It must sound wonderful. I'm curious as to the scale length. Even though it was meant to rival the long scale (664mm) 1A, I don't believe they were all like that, since they were custom made.
Anyway, enjoy! and congrats again on your score.

Default Thanks everyone.

The fun part about this one is sharing it. These have such a special history.

I’m pretty sure Carlo ordered a dozen sets of tuners for these but ended up using two on his guitars. So, through deductive reasoning that would mean he made ten Mark VII’s. Or, that’s what I remembering hearing from Mike Halloran and/or Hans Moust.
