Default vintage j45 pickguard advice

I'm in need of advice on a replacement pickguard for a 1954 J45/J50 Gibson. It has a martin style teardrop on it now. Don't ask me why, some well intentioned effort to update it maybe, I dunno. Anyway, I want to put a correct Gibson teardrop on it. I also want the material to match as closely as possibly what the original would have been made of. After looking at all the choices that LMII has it becomes apparent there are a lot of options available. Has anyone had a chance to compare all the current offerings with a factory vintage pickguard?
