Having a quick look at the PMT Music (Romford) site it seems that new solid top guitars start around £200, e.g. a nice looking Yamaha.

That’s about double the price of a Martin HD28V, I had no idea these existed, I probably need to get out more....
Yes, the high end Yamaha 'L' models are another level altogether. Just stunningly good.

No. The situation changed radically in tyhe 2007/8 recession.

Many great dealers closed down or went out of business.

Just found few AC240s on Preloved and Gumtree .......
Should I really worry for fake sellers ? how safe is buying on these websites ?
Any experience - negative or positive ?

Indeed,I own many Martin standard series,Gibson ,Taylors and my old Yamaha L-25A still beats them all
