There is a pretty direct connection between three of them, although THEY WERE NEVER IN A BAND TOGETHER.

Wayne, howdy. Excellent question.

There are five related artists in this question (never played in a group together). Of those five, two are names I've never heard of, while of the other three, two you would know for sure, from radio play, etc., and one maybe or maybe not. I'm interested only in the main three related people, not the other two, whom, frankly, I've never heard of, and probably not you either.

All three of these artists were born WELL before 1970.

thanks!
scott

Oops, sorry, answered wrong guy.

All three alive. All three are still touring and performing. And all three have their own websites.

Although he would have to be one of the "other two" because he wasn't born in America. Unless he now qualifies as "American."

Have they ever appeared together? (i.e. benefit concert or similar event?)

Sorry, Folks, buried today, so will answer all the last questions in a group
1) Not, not the Doobies
2) No, one of them is not Clapton
3) Appearing together: To the best of my knowledge, no. Possibly two of them appeared today, not three. They are not known for performing together.
4) No, one of them is not Nathan East.

I was going to guess Harry Nilsson, but he’s dead.

Real long-shot...are two of them Stevie Wonder and Mickey Dolenz (yes, of the Monkees)?
