Default K&k pickup into red eye into an AER compact 60/4

Still need help.
I can go out of the redeye and into the amp (instrument ch 1) with a 1/4 jack or from the redeye xlr balanced output. If I go from the redeye xlr balanced then
Where should I plug into the amp.
Amp instrument imput (1/4 jack only)ch.1 or mic imput which will take 1/4 jack or xlr.
I hope I explained this right.
What type of elx chord would i need.
Which would be the best for the cleanest acoustic sound

Playing into an AER amp you shouldn't need the Red Eye.

Hi 6L6
I've always gotten better sound out of amps (including a friend's AER Compact 60) when using an external preamp between guitar and amp.

If you want to preserve the XLR input on the AER for a min the 1/4 inch Redeye out into the AER 1/4 inch should sound sound fine…..if there is a mixing board involved the XLR out of the AER can get you there…..or you can take the Redeye XLR out to the board….

The signal should be just as clean into the AER 1/4 inch AER input as it is into the XLR….that’s how the gear is designed…..XLR outs are usually for long runs into mixing consoles

Try them both. I’d be very surprised if you could pick out a difference between them.
