The guitar I'm using for the next Homespun instructional video.
It's my custom dreadnought built by Dennis MacPherson of Macpherson Guitars. in 2012. Full scale, rosewood back and sides, spruce top, Waverly tuners, 1 3/4" inch nut width, custom 12th fret marker and custom pickguard. Also equipped with a K&K mini pickup.
The first incarnation had an Adirondack spruce top. After a few months, we decided to change it over to an Engleman spruce, which gave the guitar WAY more projection and a much better tone. Can't wait to see what Happy Traum thinks of this one. Here's the MacPherson Guitars Website: http://www.macphersonguitarworks.com/ I started another thread in the Custom Shop section showing the videos of the entire build process.

Very nice Toby.
That is the understated elegance and excellent workmanship that rings my bell. I'm assuming it has the classic dread sound I love? The other Paul |

Fascinating information about changing the top from Adirondack to Engelmann spruce.
Cool guitar, Toby! - Glenn

Thanks. I know it has the sound that I love and expect from a dread.
