Default Going To See Tommy E.!

I picked up 2 sets of tickets tonight for me and my wife. Early April, we're going to see the Marcus King Band and then in May, I've got Tommy Emmanuel tickets for Montgomery, Alabama! Really looking forward to both!

I saw TE a few weeks ago in Richmond, VA. It was really fun seeing him live. You're going to have a blast.

I saw Tommy about a month ago in Pittsburgh. It was my 5th time seeing him play and he gets better every time. I attended the meet and greet and got to shake the man's hand. He's every bit the gentleman up close as if he is a performer.

I don't think most people know of Marcus King. I learned about him last year. He is very young but he has groove and feel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pGilMWmAuM

Agreed. But he can match licks with Warren Haynes, I thought folks should at least hear his name, maybe research him a little. Tommy E. is great we all know, but I sure do like to discover a new talent coming into his own. Thanks for the link!

This post has a common thread for me...I saw both of these artists in Pittsburgh in February. Marcus King on Thursday for the second time and then Tommy E a few days later on Sunday. It was my first time for him. I got lucky there was 1 seat in the front row that I was able to snap up. It was quite a guitar nirvana few days.

While not acoustic...Marcus King is going to continue to get attention. He is good! He just turned 21. He was on the CBS Saturday morning show this morning. Check him out.

Saw Tommy for the first time a few weeks ago in Rocky Mount, Va. To say I was impressed is a colossal understatement. He can play any style and make it look effortless. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

IMHO - that was one of the better shows and venues I've seen him perform...
