I am going to go out on a limb and say that no one on this site has ever played one of these guitars, but it is a safe bet that you are going to receive lots of snarky comments like, "You could only wish that this was a re-branded Epiphone."

It is on craigslist, so if you are interested, go play it. That is good advice whether we are talking a $150 Keith Urban or a $3k Les Paul.

It looks like that is a set neck guitar. Other than poor resale value, you could do worse for $150 assuming there are no issues like a warped neck or a cracked headstock...

The listing of your guitars under in your signature line would make me hazard a guess you'd be wildly disappointed with this infomercial guitar. That being said, if Zakk Wylde can make a Hello Kitty Luna guitar sound good, maybe it's more in your hands than your ears?

Ok, I came back to my senses....

I asked the instruments in my signature if they would accept the Kieth Urban and they said they would all leave and go elsewhere if I brought it home, ( except the kala tenor, she thought Kieth was kinda cute) ha

A few years ago my wife, bless her heart, bought me a Keith Urban electric guitar for Christmas (she's a K.U. fan). I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I gladly accepted the gift. Out of the box the guitar was a disaster. The truss rod was cranked down to the max, tuners were loose, bridge was set very high and the strings felt like barbed wire. After the obligatory setup and new D'Addario strings the guitar didn't sound all that bad. However, being the inveterate tinkerer that I am, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I made a new pearl pickguard to replace the ugly and heavy chrome plated metal guard. The pickups were replaced with a set of Seymour Duncan 59's, I upgraded all the electrical components and wired it like a 50's style Les Paul. The thing sounds pretty good to me through my Vox Pathfinder 15R. Now, how do I get rid of the Urban name on the headstock? Note that I am an intermediate level player that only plays for my own enjoyment. I would not know if this guitar was gig worthy or not.

Keith Urban doesn't play his own guitars live. That ought to tell you something. Yeah, he'll pull one out for one song, just long enough to get to the breakdown, at which time he goes out to the crowd, signs the guitar and gives it to a fan. Then he goes back to the Fenders and Gibsons he usually plays.

I actually saw one of these guitars in a local pawn shop a few weeks ago...I don't know what model it was called...it was a black acoustic cutaway...tag said $99...I wouldn't wish that guitar on my worst enemy...

I honestly can say that I was shocked that a player of KU's caliber would put his name on it...

The owner was behind the counter and I looked at him and said "What do you think?"...

He said...and I quote..."If it was colder out, I could raise the price and sell it for kindling..."

Sad, but true...

why do successful artists put their name on crap?
I do not get it? Is the money that good?
wouldn,t you rather have a keith Urban Gibson SG special edition or a Urban USA Fender or G&L model,,,

Instead you rather hang with the Estaban, Randy Jackson, First act low quality
crowd......and be the butt of these jokes?

I mean Taylor Swift put her name on a cute little Taylor.....no shame..

Ed Sheenan on the little X martin guitar...no shame...pretty cool

I lost respect for Keith Urban...

I suspect there is some serious green behind these endorsements...
