+1 on dealing with Warren. Good communications, quick shipping, and items (guitar and Elliott capo) were exactly as described. If my steel string needs weren't already satiated I'd be very interested in this guitar. Beautiful woods.

Never touched a Merrill, but I've seen David Grier perform with his Merrill Dread twice and it was a great sounding guitar (of course with DG playing !). He has had it over 12 years now. At the 2015 show he mentioned that the Traphagen (another great guitar) was in the shop, but the Merrill kept plugging away.

Folks that get a good one seem to love them.

GLWTS

Mark

I've been on the road all summer & just noticed Warren's Merrill for sale.

I owned this guitar for a few years & would be tempted to buy it back (as Warren did from me) if I were not down-sizing & playing large body guitars these days. This guitar is one of the best OM's I have played, certainly the best Honduran Rosewood one. It is an excellent Merrill with no build issues & one of the best two Merrill OM's I have played. I still have the other one which is not better but is different in that it is mahogany. Both great guitars & as good as Jim can build (& he builds one of the best re-creations of the Martin vintage sound, in my opinion!)

As others have said, you can't go wrong dealing with Warren.

If I weren't in a selling mode at the moment, I would have been very interested in this guitar. So here's a bump for it.

As a former Merrill owner Jim Merrills guitars are inspiring to play. I have been tempted by this guitar. Great price and GLWS.
