Default Takamine P3NC CT4BII preamp 60hz hum

Hey guys, looking for some help.

I just bought a new Takamine P3NC guitar with their CT4BII preamp. When plugged into my recording setup I'm getting a good amount of 60hz hum. When I touch the endpin jack or cable plug the hum is gone.

Now my house is from the 50s and doesn't have grounded outlets. I'm used to a lot of hum from any single coil electric guitars I've tried to plug in. Electric guitars with hum buckers are fine though.

My other acoustic is a Fender Passport parlor with a Fishman UST. I don't get any hum from that guitar.

Just wondering if everything in the new Takamine is working as it should? I expected it to be as silent as the Fender Passport since they have similar style pickups. But maybe they don't have similar pickups?
