Default UK - 2012 Martin D18 - £1500

u]Martin D18 2012 - £1500[/u][/b]

Owned this from new after playing the entire contents of every music store I went to in the North West and kept coming back to it. Its a real special one.

The guitar is in excellent condition , but it is used and played everyday therefore it does have some aged related marks.

It sounds, beautiful. Full and bodied with intricate detailing on all the notes. Just been cleaned, polished, the neck treated with a conditioner and restrung with D'adarios E17 13's, although I do prefer 12's personally.

I have tried to photograph them as best I can, and listed the areas below. I am very picky when it comes to my guitars, and most would probably not even notice some of what is highlighted, but I feel, with the premium price of this guitar you need to be completely aware of the entire condition before opting to purchase.

1. Tiny nick in the body - only noticeable under scrutiny

2. Lacquer rub on the back from a guitar stand cushion - said guitar stand was thrown away after I noticed!

Supplied in its orignal Martin hardcase with classic dark green lining

I am so in love with that guitar. I have trouble with the standard Martin nut width (too narrow) so I unfortunately can't buy her from you but I couldn't resist expressing my appreciation for that instrument. Best of luck with your sale.

Thanks for the comments, she is truly stunning. The neck is slightly wider than my D18, much closer to a Hummingbird neck (I have a TV). Im no expert when it comes to nut sizes etc but thought i'd add what I know!

As one of the USAF pilots who flew the POW's home from Vietnam in Operation Homecoming, I am very grateful to Martin for making this commemorative guitar.

It was a tough time for the countries involved, including North Vietnam, and I'm glad that we've moved on from that to better things. My golf clubs were made in Vietnam and I'm very happy about that.

Lovely guitar and good luck with your sale.

Bill
