Default How do you feel about guitar back and sides made out of newspaper?

Here's a Classical guitar with back and sides made out of newspaper.

Caption: "This guitar was made by Master Luthier Walter Verreydt within the framework of the Leonardo Guitar Research Project.
A modern take on an experiment by Antonio de Torres, the back and sides of this guitar were made by gluing together 40 layers of newspaper using a mold.

I think many, if not most, guitar aficionados are familiar with the Torres "papier-mache" guitar.

As far as the newspaper guitar goes, I'd just sat "Why?".

What's black and white and read all over?

Will it be delivered with a new layer every morning for that first cup of coffee?

Sign of the "Times" ?

As with too much else in the current guitar world, "because we can"...

I guess it depends on what the headline is. As long as it isn't October 26, 1986 (Boston).

To make a point?
I gather the point here is that you don't need Brazilian Rosewood or Mahogany to make a pretty decent guitar.

I think it is fine, but it would look nicer if painted.

Yep. Mostly spruce, pine, or similar. And much of it recycled nowadays.
