The joke was meant for you anyway...

Nice purchase...

You have got that absolutely right ! They really are beautiful things , even if (like me) you don’t play guitar ... least not all that.

I have got Martins , Taylors and a Waterloo , they are all terrific, but the X20 is just so appealing to me somehow ... my current crush, I really love it.

Also , I recorded myself playing it tonight, simple stuff, straight on to my iPad, no effects or anything, it sounds really great, really clear and balanced and is obviously impregnated with magic pixie dust because I have never played better.

Cool Jon! It’s great when a guitar purchase has that impact and inspiration. I’m hoping for the same in May!

Wow! Nice guitar!

I agree that one has a cool pattern that brings in just a touch of the quilted look from the maple version. Very unique!

Wow, Earl, way to finish out an Emerald celebration in time for St. Patricks day! Now Alice has a very nice complement to your X20’s. So, Happy St. Patricks day to you both(a day early but....)

Thanks, Dave. Since she got her X7, I can now play my (formerly yours) X20 again. I had lost it for a while....... She fell for that pattern in the wood, and is referring to it as her own personal Select Series. The photos don't do it justice, but they tinted the back and sides a lovely shade we are calling Root Beer to closely match the wood. Just stunning.

A big thank you to Captain Jim for posting Emerald's photos on my behalf, and we appreciate all the nice comments so far. Alice has spent a lot of time with the guitar this week and has been inspired to learn some new slack-key tunes in Open G. Hopefully this weekend I can take some family photos of the Green Brothers and their new little sister Bubinga, if the weather cooperates.

Happy St Patrick's Day to all!

Thanks again Jim. The GREEN BROTHERS are watching protectively over their new baby sister BUBINGA. The whole family is doing fine.

Alice enjoyed some Guinness from her new Emerald mug too.
