Default Cone upgrade - are they worth it?

So...
I am trying to sell my regal RC-1 to cover what I spent on my weissenborn.
But now I'm starting to have second thoughts.
Already priced it way lower than the competition (only 40% of the original price), which attracted a lot of attention. Yet people keep asking for a lower price and such.
And that's driving me crazy to the point I don't think the extra bucks are worth all the headache. Kinda angers me that it's a decent guitar and keeps getting underappreciated, while all other guitars at my asking price range are laminates with very poor quality.
So instead of selling maybe it's better to upgrade the cone and keep it for variation and as a worry-free low-price guitar for a few open mics and travels.
What sort of improvements one should expect from a cone upgrade? Is there an improvement in tone depth or just in volume? Is Paul Beard the best option?

No discussion on cone upgrading? I have a Recording King RR-50-VS, bought new six years ago, and I upgraded with a Beard cone - wasn't expecting too much, just wanted to hear for myself, maybe $65 US, in context a very low price to pay for an extreme improvement - richer, sweeter, you name it.

I've upgraded a biscuit cone in an Epiphone Biscuit a long time ago, replacing whatever was in there with a National Resophonic. The improvement was very obvious, and put it on a par with much more expensive resos in both volume and quality. However, a lot of new resos seem to have fairly decent cones - Republic use Continental cones, for example - so the amount of improvement might not be as much as it was when I did mine.

Some other things that might improve tone are low string break angle over the saddle and heavier strings. The effect of string gauge is very striking in my Estralita.
