The other thing to consider is that any non-production guitar is not returnable. I've asked about the Nylon with steel string style headstock. Or even adding a color to the Opus line over the standard black. Both make it so there's no returns, which I completely understand. So although it's a cheaper route, you are also fully committed.
If this is no longer the case, then someone please correct me.
