Default recommend strings - Breedlove concert bubinga?

hi, just received a Breedlove like this: https://breedlovemusic.com/acoustic-...oncert-bubinga

Fit and finish are amazing at the price point. Very, very nice!

I put some Martin bronze 80/20 medium strings on in, which was a mistake. The strings are a bit too heavy.

Can anyone recommend a good set of strings for this guitar? Lighter, would like the ability to do some bending, etc up the neck.

THANKS!!

I have PB lights on my Breedlove, but it's one of the American series.

Yep, Breedlove ships all their guitars with those EXP D'addario strings... and I happen to dislike them INTENSELY!

But, if you like them, that guitar shipped with those strings, light gauge (12's).

My local store, Bullfrog Music, is my main contact with Breedlove guitars; through that store I have played literally hundreds of them, nearly every different line, from the lowly Discovery Series (amazing guitars for the money!) to the one-off Custom builds.

Both the store owner, Kurt Dietrich, and I agree about those EXP's, so he'll switch them out frequently with Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings. I can honestly say that I have never heard a Breedlove sound bad with those Elixirs!

If you don't like coated strings, the John Pearse Phosphor Bronze light gauge strings are very nice and sound wonderful on Breedloves or any other guitar!
