Brand New from authorized retailer, kept behind glass. Very beautiful sounding guitar. *Some pictures were taken during the day, and some at night, but this is the same guitar.
RETAILER PRICE $7,499.00 PRICE HERE: $3695 FIRM PRICE shipping is $95, maybe less depending on location. Local pickup in Los Angeles available! What exactly do you mean by "open box"?
Is this guitar brand new, are you the authorized dealer, or did you buy it from the dealer? If so, how long have you purchased it for? |

Open Box!
I first heard that term at a Best Buy; the year was 1998! I don't shop there anymore, due to customer service issues. Not sure if the term applies to high-end acoustic guitars, but let's see how the OP replies.
Another term that some guitar shop owners use is New Old Stock (NOS). It has a certain meaning with respect to old car parts, but with guitars it usually means it's been hanging there, on the wall, played occasionally and not yet purchased 2-3 years later. I bought it new from GC. It was kept behind glass but taken out if someone wanted to try it. That's it. I haven't been playing it

Bought from the authorized dealer to sell. I have not been playing it.

So is it actually brand new or are you selling it second hand? Does it come with the factory warranty or not?

Confusing terminology, but basically ..... used.

Yup, no matter if it has never been played ...it is "used". No warranty will apply to the buyer. No dealer would give you more than "used - VGC".
To be fair to the seller - bought for $7.5k, selling for $4k. He's not really trying to pretend it is a brand new item with a dealer's warranty - he's just confusing the issue with strange terminology.

Not trying to denegrate the seller at all; the asking price isn't out of range for a spectacular instrument!

List is $7499, stores are getting $5999 (20% off is STANDARD.) So discounting it at $4k is an awesome deal. Forget labels like open box (a few shops use that term), just say like new, as new, just got it, etc.
I have one these and it's fantastic, as is the price. No affiliations here, just wanted to cut through the rhetoric a bit. |

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I updated the listing to say:
"Since I am the purchaser, their would be no limited lifetime warranty, however, you would be getting a basically new guitar for $2k off street prices. I think it would be very very unlikely a repair would ever cost that much." |
