Default Finally: Rusty Young solo album

Rusty Young solo album "Waitin' for the Sun" out in September.

Title track already out and sounds great.

It's about freekin' time for a RY solo album.

Looks to be a good time for Geezer releases. This one, Stills/Collins + new Tom Rush soon.

Great to hear that. I'm also a fan of Rusty Young. Thanks for the heads up.

I only know one Rusty Young, from back in the 60's, pedal steel player with Poco, a band I loved, and we covered a lot of their songs.

Is this the same Rusty Young ??

Neil Young's brother.

Just kidding.

Yes, it is Rusty Young from POCO.

Dropped today and it is a very fine album indeed.

All new original material, played skillfully.

If you are a Poco fan or just a fan of great acoustic country rock do NOT miss this.

Note: Neil Young does not appear on this recording.

Well thanks for that. Poco and Rusty Young in particular never got their due!

I was a Poconut in the early 70's before that was a word and before they had any hits. I'm ok with the later stuff, but really loved the first couple of versions of the band.

Fast forward 40 years, I did see a band that called themselves Poco a few years back. Rusty was with them but he played very little pedal steel. He was the front man and did an admirable job, it was a nice show. But it was a little bit like seeing a tribute band--not that there is anything wrong with that.

One thing I couldn't figure out was the encore--On the Way Home. I guess they did that for folks who thought they were at a Neil Young show
