Our matched "his-&-hers" Rainsong JM1000/JM3000 6- and 12-string jumbos - about as visually and sonically compatible as it gets...

As I consider myself being primarily a blues/ragtime player I would like a resonator for slide and a OM or 000 for fingerpicking and not surprisingly I currently own a National NRP Tricone and a Martin OM18A.

So many guitars which I could be more than satisfied with.
I would choose a Papazian classical (european spruce over braz RW) and a Froggy Bottom Guitar H12C with 1-7/8" nut (adirondack spruce over rosewood) So many guitars.

The two that I have:
2012 Goodall Concert Jumbo (German spruce over Honduran Rosewood) 1983 Mark Angus 12 string, #58 (German Black Forest spruce over Indian rosewood) They are every bit as much acoustic guitar as I need or want or can play! Seems silly to me to have more than just the two, as I already have conversations (with myself) about not playing them enough! I do have an electric guitar, as well... but I was pretty sure you were speaking of acoustic guitars.

If I were to own only two guitars? I find even the thought depressing.

A cheap archtop for bluegrass / Amercana gigs. And a cheap 00/000 for camping, sessions, parties etc.
Oh wait, that's what I already have.

Some variant of a J-45, and my Taylor 717. As much as I love a Martin, I have yet to bond with one.

Hmmm. I definitely can live without a travel guitar. I'd definitely want an acoustic, and I like my D-18. I think I might make the second guitar a classical, but an electric is also fun to play from time to time. Hmmm, maybe the second guitar will be my Stratocaster. Sorry nylon classicals.

Lately, I've been playing one dread (recent HD-28) and a 12-string (Taylor 254ce). I've owned lots of fancier guitars, but these are getting the job done, sound great, and my hands are tolerating them well. I might be switching to a Yamaha FGX5 for the pickup.
