Default That Fake Martin on eBay...

After a few of us on AGF had seen it, I and others sent him a note that what he had wasn't really a Martin guitar. He was gracious about it and canceled the listing. He said he was going to take it back to the pawn shop, where he bought it.

This morning Gary sent me an update:

Hi Russ I took the guitar back, did some research on the serial number of
that guitar. it came up as a guitar made in 1995 it was a D1 original road
series, no electric, no cutaway. the DC16RGTE was not produved until 2005.
The man at the pawn shop was already looking into the person he got it
from. The info I have came from Martin. also They did produce guitars with
the laminated plack inside with serial # & model, also the guitar could be
bought with the sun burst top. My winning point was the model and serial
did not match what I was supposed too have. Bottom line, you saved me
from having too deal with a lot of bull I really don't need. Thanks ever
so much for your help, please let the person on that forum I didn't know and
I am better educated now. Sincerely Gary
