Very nicely played. It may just be me but I think the first one (Here comes the Sun) lends itself better to the classical guitar than the second tune. None the less you played both very well. Thanks,

Dave

Nicely done. Perhaps because I've heard Here Comes the Sun so many times, I prefer I'll Follow the Sun.

I do think that D7 chord under "I'll" should be a Dm7 as in C Em/B Dm7 G.
Only time it's a dominant 7 is under "gone" and "one" as in G F7 C D7

Thanks for your comment, James. It's interesting about that chord. Listening to their "On Air, Live at the BBC" performance they do use a Dm7 there. On the Parlophone mono recording I have ( Beatles for Sale album) it's D major. So perhaps we're both right!

I've always played it as a m7, but you are absolutely correct! I never noticed that discrepancy before. I'm guessing McCartney decided, by the time they recorded the BBC track, that he preferred the m7 over the major. BTW, this song was written in 1960, there's a demo recording of it somewhere which I haven't heard, supposedly quite different.

On a related M/m note, have you ever really listened to the second chord of Not a Second Time? Some sources list it as Em, some as E major. Clearly it is Em later in the verse. I've come to the conclusion that Harrison played an Em whilst Lennon played a E7 (C7 form in 5th position).

I didn't either. Good ear there, James.

Lennon was always the rebel! In my mind I can hear him saying, "Screw the vi chord!". Of course I'm projecting there.
