2016 F40 Fairbanks F40
Dale Fairbanks newest model designed after the vintage Gibson J185
Fairbanks website: http://www.fairbanksguitars.com/pric...m-options.html

BAKED as in Torrefied top, back, sides and neck!

Does it make a difference?
You bet. It is why more and more builders are using the baked stuff.
The aging process is advanced and like this guitar plays like it is "opened up".

Serial #166 build start 4/2016 completed 8/2016
Custom build Small Jumbo
Torrefied Red Spruce/Adirondack spruce top
Torrefied Flamed maple back and sides
Torrefied Mahogany neck, rounded profile
Two way truss rod
Gold Kluson tuners
Madagascar RW fretboard and bridge
Nut 1 3/4"
Bone nut/saddle
Bridge spacing 2 1/8"
Depth 3 3/4" @neckblock, 4 7/16" @waist, 4 3/4" @tailblock
Short scale 24 3/4"
Hot hide glue
Built for light Light strings
Original hard shell case.

Some minor playwear near rosette, a few small marks on the top.
Otherwise in excellent condition. Great tone and volume. The torrefied tonewoods are quite evident sonically and physically.

Recent check up at professional luthier shop.

Default Fairbanks F-40

I would love to check out the Fairbanks as well as the Kraut you had for sale. Both look like great guitars. What can I say, I love guitars.
Raised in the 808 and it is No Ka Oi.

Mahalo,
Jim

Default Baked goods

These baked goods as in torrefied woods are quite the innovation.

In the past month, the tonal quality and volume of this axe just blossoms each day. The baked back, sides, and neck makes a huge difference.

A limited number of trade offers will be considered. However, let it be known I am very picky.
