Taylor GS Mini-e Koa
I'm selling off my 2016 koa top mini - solid koa top, laminated koa/poplar/koa B&S ebony fretboard & bridge, mahogany neck, ES-2 electronics.
They're not making them like this anymore, they've switched to different electronics putting the GS Mini at the same level (electronically) as their lowest price Academy series with an onboard tuner in a control panel mounted on the top of the treble bout :yuck: Many if not most of the new koa top minis I've seen in stores also have 4 piece tops - this one is 2 piece and is one of the nicest looking koa tops I've seen. There are a few small dings here and there on the lower bout near the edge - nothing that penetrates the finish or has any effect on the sound or playability. There are also a series of small dimples where the pick guard would be if this guitar ever had one. As a fingerpicker, these small marks were caused by the fingernail on my pinkie - and I stopped playing with a pinkie plant as soon as I noticed what was happening. I've tried to get a picture of the marks, which are only visible when you can see reflected light on the face of the guitar and hold it at an angle. Fret wear is minimal..as can be seen in the photos. New - this guitar was $800 early this year. I'm offering it here for $550 plus shipping and any paypal fees. As with the other Mini I have listed, I need to thin the herd to pay for the guitars I''ve already bought. Tonally, this guitar has a warm sweet voice - strong in the midrange but without the dry woodiness of the mahogany top Mini. Also - this guitar is for sale locally on other venues.
