The Newer Michael Kelly Electrics?
Have any of you checked out the new Michael Kelly electrics? Apparently, the original owner has control of the company again, and he definitely seems to be "upping his game"!
I've played a whole bunch of these and each one has been wonderful... some in more of a LP style, some Tele-esque, and some a bit like Strats... lots of good features (coil taps, etc.) on some, various pickup configurations and really nice finishes... One of the things that amazes me about these guitars is the fret work... running my fingers along the side of the neck, there is nothing but smooth; the fret ends are finished perfectly! Not something you usually find in an Asian-made electric guitar in the $400-$700 price range, at le4ast not in my experience. Between these guitars and the Reverend line, I don't believe I'd even be looking at Gibson or Fender, were I in the market... Worth taking a good look at these! Anyone else seen them? Played them?

Yes, I thought the same thing. I bought a Michael Kelly F-50 (Tele Style chambered) in April of this year and I was surprised by the QC overall. This one has the TV Jones Duo Trons which are over $300. I figured that I couldn't go wrong for a $800 guitar that I got a 10% discount on. If nothing else I could use the pickups and electronics which, by the way, are very decent. I bought it online and was very happy with everything after receiving it. It does have a nice neck and excellent fret work. -- Darwin
