Default NGD: Gretsch Roots Collection Single 0

Needed a budget guitar for backyard campfires with the fam. For under $250, I couldn't be more pleased. I've got her strung with John Pearse nickels now and open D, wonderful little box for what it is.

I think most if not all of the Gretsch Roots Collection are over achievers.

I have the Boxcar Reso and the Clarotone Banjolele. Love them.

And that one the OP got? Wow, that looks beautiful.

Beautiful guitar. I played one like it a few months ago at GC and really liked it but it just felt too small for me at the time.

I just got a Root Series Honey Dipper and it just rocks. It's a 00, so once I get used to this size, I'll be ready for one like yours!

I have the style 3 which is technically called a doubleOO but the largest of them all.

I liked it so much I bought a second one. It's a great guitar to leave out and enjoy playing and let other people play etcetera and not worry about something disastrous happening if my three-year-old were to knock it over. I would highly recommend these guitars to anybody

Congrats on a sweet guitar! I have been plucking on one at my local store and really like the sound.

Have fun with it. Is it the angle of the photo or is that sound hole a bit extra-sized?

Regular size hole on a small guitar makes it "appear" large
