I fixed my amp buzz for $12!
Well I finally did it. I was so annoyed with the loud non-stop buzz my amp made. It wasn't the amp or the guitars fault either. My house is terrible for any type of reception possible.
I put copper shielding in my Fender Telecaster but it only knocked 2db off the already 68 db the buzz was making. I knew I had to get a noise suppressor or noise gate at some point but didn't want to take up room on my board. I won a Joyo Noise Gate on eBay for $12 and it has fixed the buzz. i use the EBTECH, HumX when i have a humming amp. also works when i pair two amps together. i don't know about your noise gate but the humx doesn't alter the sound at all.

Yes, I've tried the HumX by Ebtech. It was $79.99 at Sam Ash but I got them to price Amazon $53. I did a db reading before and after. The HumX only knocked off 4db so I returned it. My house is horrible with reception of anything since the framing is aluminum due to hurricane codes where I live. Barely get any cell service inside the house.
