What instrumental songs are you working through right now
Not to discriminate against primarily vocal-backing purposes, what instrumental songs are you currently working through (non original)?

I don't understand the term "instrumental song" - a song has lyrics, and instrumental doesn't, however, as my illness and treatment has (I hope temporarily) robbed me of my voice, My old pal Mando Bob and I are meeting weekly to brush up on our instrumentals.
As I'm primarily a singer, I've never been big on fiddle tunes, but I'm trying to get a handle on Beaumont Rag, as Bob has worked out his mando part. From about 1.09. I'm wondering - if I've permanently lost my voice, maybe I should seek out a way to learn more of these fiddle tunes.

If they're the kind of Toonz others could learn by score or tab that you can give a video of it would be cool. I guess I thought this would be a good way to get familiar with other things people are passionate enough about to take the time to dive into and learn

Instrumental songs? Are people having a laugh or has the world actually gone mad?

Currently learning Sligo River Blues by John Fahey. It's quite easy, but I find easy songs the hardest to memorize as you have to think less.
A great song for background music while sitting out with friends.

I play mostly fingerstyle jazz currently, and I'm always working on one standard or the other.
Just started working up an arrangement of "Lover Man". |

Signe by Eric Clapton. Been working on it for a year or two to get proficient. Finally made it. Fun song to play.

I think the point that stanron and I both made is that if there is no singing - it isn't a song. There are songs and there are instrumentals. There is nothing wrong with guitarists who play only instrumentals - but there seems to be a fashion at present to call an instrumental a song - which is confusing and to put it simply - incorrect terminology.
