Here Comes the Sun--The Beatles
I knew I was recovering after my Mom died when I was able to play that song and smile and believe that I would feel good again someday.

"Wheel" by John Mayer ... the song I chose for the sound track to the slide video we did at my Mom's memorial service. Bitter sweet, but it takes me to a happy place because she was not suffering any more.

You can find me, if you ever want again ...
And if you never stop when you wave goodbye
You just might find if you give it time
You will wave hello again
You just might wave hello again

"Crimson and Clover" on my Strat through the TR with Vibrato set to stun. In the key of A. Third set = 11:30 PM on a Friday night. As infill in a C&W song. Gets 'em every time... wow! Acid flashback.

Shazam!

Default I Need Never Get Old

This. The song makes me happy, but my 2 year old loves it and dances around like a manic when she hears it.

The best one that gets me smiling and tapping something is Jessica by the All man Brothers. There are many others too. Music makes life happy.

+1 on Here Comes the Sun. 4 years ago I had an organ transplant and was recovering from that concurrent with healing from major knee surgery. Really started refocusing on acoustic and started picking up some really fun songs. Once getting that one down it was like magic.

More recently (and thanks to Youtube), I got another favorite of mine down that really gives my day a boost: Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straights. Once I realized it was capoed on 3 and in open G tuning, it was like how to speak a new language. I couldn't believe I could make my guitar do that.

Not just one song but an album. When I put on Pet Sounds the sun always shines.

Long Black Veil? Nothing like a good murder song to brighten the day.
