I taped on the only dollar I have ever made with music, when I was playing on a bench and a guy thought I was busking. I reliably earn $1 every 30 years.

No stickers. But I kept the LAX shipper tape around my case handle. This was 45 years a ago. A momento from my 1972 flight with my 52' Gretsch Electromatic to Maine and back.
That case I also adorned with a self made hand print from a green and white acrylic paint transfer.

Generally no.

When I bought my first electric (1976 Fender Stratocaster natural hardtail, from a locally famous metal head) it had several stickers on it. Skulls, skulls with top hats, skulls with top hats and cigarette, flying eyeball with dragon wings- that sort of thing.

I peeled them off what was otherwise a very clean original case.

My acoustic's case got some rubs and tears when I moved. It was packed next to a 1970 Honda CB360 and the heat shield on the exhaust acted like a cheese grater while the toe peg acted like a chisel (took some wood out).

I filled the void with wood putty and used black Gorilla tape to shore up the torn tolex. To disguise the filled void I slapped a juststrings.com sticker over it.

But generally I'm not a free billboard. If a company endorses me, then sure I'll slap stickers all over. And the look of a case covered with stickers is a poseur thing- like "Look at me. I'm a famous guitar player, these are my endorsements and all the places I've been." (like steamer trunks back when those were a thing- they'd bear the stickers of all the trips they'd taken- no offense to anyone who like them, its your case and if you like them more power to you)

It is not nice to call other people poseurs. A lot of people have given very pragmatic reason for putting stickers on their cases, and others simply may have tastes different than yours. It is in fact a very poseur thing to do.

On my cheap roadrunner case I've made a hobby of getting stickers from places I've travelled. So I have the Japanese Flag, Czech republic sticker, Oregon, etc.

I also spray painted the top by the head of the guitar with my favorite metal bands logo. That was a fun first guitar case break in!

I am a sticker collector and nut. I love the things! Especially stickers from brands I buy from. I absolutely love opening a package and getting their stickers!

However, I never knew what to do with them. Well, now I put them on/in my gun cabinet. It's a cheap steel cabinet, and the interior door is full of stickers. The outside is next!

Of course. The guy with all the endorsements that's been all over the world with his guitars is the poseur. Only here is that possible.

So I am I (statistically) and I yes I do on some of my cases. I like them and there is also the identification advantage.

I used to object to stickers on my guitar cases because of the aesthetics, but the more I attended jams, workshops, and camps where there were numerous cases that all looked the same, the more I came to the conclusion that a couple of stickers to make the case recognizable from the rest was not a bad idea.

That bass is stunning!

Thank you sir.

That '74 Jazz is the 1st bass I ever bought.

I found it in a pawnshop back in 2008 for $59.95 + tax.

The store knew not what they had.

The bass has been broken in from years of playing, and it sounds and plays amazing.

I am surprised you did not leave that pawn shop in handcuffs because you stole that bass. Reliced guitars increase the value.

Yup, but only on a beat up old Washburn case that I currently keep a deep body Kay Kraft in. Great for covering rips in the Tolex.
