Default Playing while Very Drunk here: Tangled Up In Blue

A classic Bob Dylan song from his 1975 Blood On The Tracks album.
My attempt at a cover
(I often wonder if I could play this again whilst sober.... haven't tried).

Here's the story: Has a song ever crossed your mind and you think
'I gotta learn that someday'? Well on 9-5-09 we were partying with
some friends and one of them pulled this song up on an iPhone.
That is what triggered this cover. So after they left it was about
midnight and in a extremely inebriated state I decided to dash this
song off. Looked up the chords online and printed the lyrics.
Practiced rhythm once through and then turned camera and mic on
to just record what came out. I kept stumbling, didn't have some of
the phrasing correct and generally messed up a lot. But even in my
state of inebriation I persevered and in one continuous sitting managed
to finally get through the song in about 17 minutes of video.
So then I had to edit out all the mess ups and cobble together a
complete song out of the video. I managed to do that but as I watched
it back in a sober state I realize just how raw it is and impaired I was.
For that reason I like it though. Just flailed away on it based upon
what I remembered in my head.
My first time ever playing this song caught on video.
Haven't played it since.

That was cool Gil. Perhaps I need to start drinking You can really capture that Dylan vibe. I'd love to hear some more.

LOL... I wonder if I could but have never attempted this song again.... the lyrics and phrasing are really tough.... I literally messed up on every single verse and started over again with camera running... when done I had 17 full minutes of video. I edited out all the screw ups and made this video.... the challenge would be to do the song in one sitting all the way through with no screw ups.... not sure if it would have the same feel sober though.

If you play it late enough in the set the audience will be in the same condition.
I loved it.....so much so i tried it myself. Not all the verses though.

I also loved your tom waits cover. My favourite is Long way Home if you take requests.
