Back from vacation in Sunny Florida.
More progress on the archtop.

Roughed out the tailpiece-African blackwood:



I make the bracket for the tailpiece from a sheet of brass using my Powermatic
geared (oil bath transmission) band saw:

Wow - that tailpiece is lovely. The maple accent on top of the blackwood is an artistic touch. Very nice lines on that.

It is actually a curly koa overlay on the top.
