Horse, that happens a lot around here. A zombie thread is resurrected after some period (15 years is the longest dormant period I've noted) then people respond for three more pages after it has been pointed out by posts exactly like yours. I usually try to note the date on the first page, but it is easy to get complacent.

I'm not privy to the workings of the forum software. But if it were possible, any thread older than a year would appear in a different color, or it would take three yes / no confirmations to add a new response on an old thread. "This thread is old. Are you sure you want to reactivate it instead of starting a new thread??? Are you REALLY REALLY sure?"

Yep, it’s a zombie thread...but folks could be answering the guy who resurrected it today based on the 2018 remodeling of the standard line. See his post #36 below...which is, shall we say, provocative...
