NGD - GS Mini Koa
Just snagged this little beast, last night.
So much fun to play. So loud, considering the small form factor. So ready to hit the road!

Congrats and enjoy! I love my Koa mini as well, only problem is that it makes me want to buy a k22/k24...

Beautiful! Does it have the ES-2 or the newer ES-B electronics? I'm interested to know how they compare, soundwise.

To me...they sound exactly like the ES-2...which is to say, they all sound acoustic...which is to say, I don't plug in!!!! I want to get a budget acoustic amp...more for giggles than anything else...just to try them out and see what's what. I CAN say the onboard tuner is dead-on. I tuned it, onboard...then checked it with my Polytune clip. Bullseye accurate, within a cent. The Mini Koa is really incredible. Sounds amazing, right out of the case. Love the tone. Its a looker, too! The ultimate travel/couch companion!

Though I did play a 1929 Martin 0-18 koa today that had a really sweet tone as well...

Very nice. Please post a demonstration video up on YouTube and share how it sounds like.
Question because I'd read reviews with this implied, is it cramped with a capo on there after the second fret? |

I have a 2016 with the es-2. love it. bring it everywhere.
I find that a capo past the 5th fret gets a lil cramped. But it is a travel guitar so its a guitar that's cramped |

I was curious if I'd struggle with the short scale. Nope!
To be fair, though, I don't use a capo. I'm an ampless, capoless, talentless player who LOVES the feel, sound, and build of Taylors (and my Eastman, of course). This GS Mini Koa is everything the online reviews said it was. I'm astounded at how awesome it is. Can't wait for my first road trip with it!!!
