Default Free mastering EQ this month only

Hey folks, I ran across this new plugin that is being introduced by Eventide this month with a free license offer. I haven't had hands on time with it but I have downloaded it. You'll need an iLok account. Here's the info: https://www.eventideaudio.com/promo/equivocate

I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago. Nice plugin. I like the linear eq, the sidechain learn, among other features.

It's a free download but only through 10/31/17.

If you download the free Equivocate plugin you will then qualify for an upgrade price of $79 on the new Elevate mastering limiter plugin. That's until October 31. Has anyone tried Elevate?

Have not, I don't remember if you are on a mac and pro tools ? If so the Massy limiter is pretty good in fact , his offerings are pretty highly regarded

I'm Mac and Logic. Been using the Waves L2 limiter and really have no complaints. Logic's Linear Phase EQ plugin is pretty good but IMO could be better. So I guess I'm mainly interested in the Equivocate eq plugin.

The L2 Multimaximizer is simple to use. It's full band. I've avoided multiband compression so far and probably will continue to do so. In general I try to record good performances and then use as little compression as possible.

I read a while back that Neil Young's entire album Harvest was mixed without using compressors. I think the secret sauce is in the arranging and playing. It kinda make you think twice about compressing too much.

I've have various plugin limiters - Waves L1, L1+, L2, Massey and Ozone 5 and 7, among a few others. For what I do (solo fingerstyle guitar), I like the Massey L2007 and Ozone's limiter module.
