acoustic jazz comping
Does anyone have any good youtube or other examples of jazz comping on an acoustic, maybe with a walking bass? There's plenty of electric examples, but I need some acoustic examples as inspiration.

This may not help, but it ought to be inspiring anyhow...

Someone put up this short clip of one of my workshops a few years ago. http://youtu.be/flOTqIdxtpA It's an off the cuff walking line for Autumn Leaves. I believe he tabbed it out too.

Thanks Eric. You actually had sent me your wonderful walking bass tab arrangement of Autumn Leaves a few years ago and I have it down pretty good, along with the melody on top. But it's addicting and I want to be able to build on that and do more of that, and figuring it out on my own. Great stuff. That's what I'm after and you are one of the few acoustic players that I have seen play this way.

Why would the playing be different on acoustic vs. Electric?

Basic, but beautiful:
http://youtu.be/W0m6bMnKBu4 I know the presentation is wordy and longer than necessary, but the result is worthwhile.

Mickey Baker's "Complete Course in Jazz Guitar, Vol I" is a wonderful entry into jazz chording and "melody chords" (basically 3 and 4 note voicings)... the opening lesson is just one full page of very cool and useful "jazzy"-type chords...
I have heard Robben Ford say that the ONLY book he has ever worked with was the Mickey Baker Book I... along with a solid grasp on Diatonic Theory, it will carry you very far...
