What a great touch to have your builder do some background conversation about the build. Fabulous! Who knew that Ben was a great player as well! The guy can bring it!

Yeah Ben can play he has a Berkly degree I believe . Ben started off on violin of all things . He's put time into developing his ear and researching the whole tonal thing which I guess most luthers do or maybe not I don't know lol
He also has won some gold music award in the Reno area for original music . I don't have all the facts though.

Anyways Ben does vids for all his builds which is cool . One thing I like about Ben is he seems to really enjoy what he does with a child like glee like everything is a new experience full of wonder one super cool guy . I have admire that , that and the looks of his guitars is why I chose him to build mine .

I'm glad We both enjoyed the build as it's a first for me obviously but a first for Ben in building with the Lucky strike and African Blackwood . I hope to see him do another ABW build to follow along with.

I'll have the guitar in hand Friday and will try to do a vid and pics and post in general as NGD . I'm not good at videos and editing but I'll try lol you can dress me up but I'll still get dirty lol

Lol I hear ya , it's a holiday Monday and UPS is coming tomorrow so I took the day off and since I worked my bank side off I'm

Ok ok geez O petes lol I just got it today few hours ago . Came right when I was mowing the lawn but I brought her in opened her up and she is sweet ! The accuracy of the lines , her levelness of the fret board , the inside , frets the , the , its perfect ! Played a bit in standard tuning but I sound like such a dork in that tuning but she has power Scotty ! and blissfullness sustain .

K so first things first need get my house in order for pics or vid , bachelor living with a 10 yr old and all that . I'll post a NGD thread in gen that's the proper place right ? Anyway I have pics and hopefully a tune in my basic of styles that will represent its tone and sustain etc as best I can .

Or I could ship it to Mau or you to play something worthy lol

k so give me some time to get things together !!!

On another note I had my Blueridge in a tuning I'm working with but forgot to write down what a trip trying get it back lol ( Write stuff down ya dolt ! ) lol

HI folks back a few posts we have Bens demo of my guitar now Im don't I'm a great player by any means but I like what I do hahaha
so when the guitar came home and I played her for the first time I thought i need to make something new for her so I did , its simple like all my tunes.
I hold the chords out a bit so you can here the sustain . some goofs and back round noise which I wish I could get ride of one day I guess LOL

so here ya go I call it " Layer of the woods " as i was thinking about how woods interact and create the tone of this beautiful instruments.
