Default Elixir Strings Love CF Guitars

If you decide to try out a CF guitar, make sure it has Elixir strings on it. Many agree that this string brand works consistently well with CF guitars. Rainsongs come with Elixir lights. I am not sure about what strings come on other CF guitars. It can really make or break a buying decision.

I am about to put some Elixir polywebs on my Shorty. These are described as their most mellow string. I really love the 13-56 that I have on it right now. I will certainly report back!

Good advice--getting ready to restring my CA Legacy dread with a set of 80/20 Elixir lights. I had Martin PB SP's on it and it sounded like there was a blanket on the guitar....

This seems so true in my experience as well. For CAs they are almost a must, given they tend to brighten them up. Rainsong; I 80/20, Elixir being the best. Emeralds are the only CF that I can use different strings on effectively. My Doubleneck seems to be pleasingly colored by different ones.

Well, finally got around to stringing my CA Legacy with 80/20 Elixirs--sounds so much better than the Martin PB's I had on it.

I've previously tried Martin Marquis 80/20's on it and didn't like them.
Maybe I just had a bad set....

Cool

Elixirs work great on every guitar. They seem to have the perfect formula for a good sounding long lasting string...but they really do excel on my RainSong. I've tried other strings on my RainSong Dred...YUK! is all I have to say...Went back to Elixirs pronto! Elixirs really make my Rainsong DR100 hum like crystal vase!
