Congrats on your Rainsong Dred. I went with the "S" version because I simply liked the idea of no fingerprints and the utilitarian look the fine texture conveys. I did find the occasional noise from from right hand contacting the soundboard to be annoying but some .020" shiny C.F. and 3M tape made into a pickguard quickly solved that issue. I also upgraded to the hard shell case for peace of mind when wilderness camping.
All I have, presently, is the RainSong and a Taylor nylon series but it seems to be the best of both worlds for me.
