It will be very cool to have another Chimaera on the board, hopefully I won't be the only raving Doubleneck lunatic. To answer the original question the Chimaera makes it difficult to think of owning another guitar, the only known cure for GAS. I think I would like to have a Rainsong Parlor but at that price I could buy another doubeneck, two sixes one for Nashville. It's the cheap banker in me , buy one and get another for free.

After reading some other threads, I've changed my answer to that carbon fiber Brunner guitar. I'd love to have that for airline travel.

A Blackbird Lucky 13 for me.
An Emerald Acoustic Bass (4 strings) for my wife.

There's a few wooden ones on my list too...
That's of course if I had oodles of money, which I don't

What I *really* should be considering is a CF ABG, given that I'm mostly a bass player. I love my Tacomas, but they're fragile!

So my next CF guitar? Well, I need something I could backpack with, something small. If Rainsong goes smaller on their next model, that would be the one! But they have every offering under the sun, so not sure if they will go down that road...

My next CF guitar is probably gonna be a CA GXi with built in Fishman Aura. They list this system as an option right now but according to Michael at MacNichol's he's had one on order for a good while and they keep telling him "90 Days or more" so probably not gonna be anytime very soon It looks like.

I just love my GX Copperburst with Built in Aura so much that my next CA will also have the aura system built in as they just work so very well and simple to use live.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a backpack size Rainsong, good news is the Blackbird Rider is all you will ever need from a "sub compact" guitar, mine has been everywhere.

I would love to own a Rainsong electric guitar that has normal, Variax, and 13-pin outputs - but, they don't make it yet! Maybe I run hot, but both my Strat and my Variax take about 20 minutes to adjust themselves to me. I can't just plug in and record, I have to wait until wooden guitars adjust, then tune.

Truly, a "first world" problem......lol.....

Well, I will be digging out my 1968 Guild Artist Award archtop tomorrow because I will be starting in a very good jazz group within the next few weeks. For a few months now, I have been playing chord melody on my Cargo to get back into shape, but for the performances, the archtop just fits in better visually and sonically with these guys (and gal vocalist). The one thing about the Cargo is that the scale is so different from a "normal" sized instrument. I need to get my hands used to playing all those chords and runs othe longer scale to participate in this group. It will be interesting to see if I can get used to going between the two instruments.

Leviora announced that they are making a model for purists like me! The next one will not have any wood elements on it, AND, Thomas is bringing the price down. He is going to be using some sort of wood and resin mixture for the fretboard.

I have an eye on the nylon model as the videos sound great.
