Default Guitar strings on cello

Can I put .045 flatwound on a cello and tune it to concert. A .045 is an A string for acoustic. Cello is 2 1/2 inches longer than a standard guitar. The tension would be similar to a medium d addario cello g string. The set is meant for a baritone guitar.

your really asking us? Your just gonna do it anyway! No matter what we say, you already know that.

You've put 17s on a guitar and tuned them up to concert pitch. Why would this be worst than that

Sorry but the cello drop escalated the string obsession. If the cello survived it I would be over strings by now.

Fight it - get support if necessary, but fight it and fight it now; I noticed you haven't posted on this topic in a while, so you seem to have as much control as you want, when you want - the real question here is do you want...?
