Default Houston Jam?

Any word on the event for 2015?

Anyone interested in a ''pre-jam jam"? I could be talked into it...

Hi, kego. I'm stalking you from the "other" forum (picture a laughing emoticon).

It appears that once Joe stopped hosting the Lake Houston Jams the Houston jams also stopped. The closest I've seen, going back quite a few years, were a couple of jams in San Antonio. Mo's Art & I made it to one of them a few years back.

Hopefully bumping this will get some folks thinking about it.

Maybe I'm wearing really dark shades/blinders, but a jam for acoustic guitars with some basic food & drinks shouldn't be too difficult to organize.

But as Don & Steve experienced getting people to show is the tricky part.

Edit--I feel the need to clarify something:

I absolutely am not being critical of the folks who stopped hosting jams. Organizing jams is a LOT of work for the hosts, and there comes a time when the baton needs to be passed.
